Sunbird saves the day!

You know that famous comic book where the cellular router flies in through the window and shouts ‘SUNBIRD TO THE RESCUE’ before reconnecting forlorn web-less inhabitants to their business email?

No? Well, someone should write one because that’s exactly what happened to Eseye’s Marketing Director last Friday. Sort of.

As if the weather hadn’t caused enough bother for people up and down the country, vandals added to the woes of the residents of a Surrey village by cutting through a central connection cable, leaving Eseye's Bettina Rubek Slater, and an estimated 600 homes, without a phone line. For those without fibre optic broadband, this of course meant no internet, which was potentially hazardous for villagers hoping to work from home and avoid winter transport problems. Although her neighbours will have to wait until the end of the month to get re-connected, Bettina managed to avoid braving icy roads by using Eseye’s reliable cellular router, Sunbird.

Product knowledge is of course central to Bettina’s role, so she had taken a Sunbird home to swot up on the device – not knowing that she would in fact be experiencing firsthand just how valuable it can be to businesses.

Guaranteeing continuous service at all times with its Eseye AnyNet™ SIM that connects anywhere in the world, the Sunbird is the perfect solution for businesses that need a secure and reliable data service – without relying on unpredictable Wi-Fi connections.

We’re pleased it helps out our own colleagues too.

Bettina was delighted: “I must admit I was relieved not to be shovelling snow off my drive and heading to the office just to get a web connection. The Sunbird really saved the day for me and meant there was absolutely no disruption to my work.”

You can find out more about Sunbird on our Routers page.
