Eseye announces joint development with Liberty Electric Vehicles
Posted by admin on January 10, 2011
Electric vehicles are the future, and are now driving the telematics requirement for all manufacturers. Features such as remote battery charge status shown on your phone, or pre-conditioning are just the beginning.
There is a whole range of additional services, which are valued by both manufacturers and drivers. Drivers want traffic updates and sat nav updates, manufacturers want access to vehicle performance, and passengers want Wi-Fi so they can pick-up email, browse the web or listen to their preferred internet radio station.
Eseye has therefore established a strategic relationship with Liberty Electric Vehicles to develop these and a whole host of additional features to deliver the electric car of the future. Eseye will integrate its M2M connectivity solutions into test and pilot vehicles provided by Liberty.
Below is a picture of one of Liberty’s vehicles – an electric Range Rover with a range of 200 miles and acceleration of 0-60 mph in 7.5s.
