Connectivity

Eseye supplies customers with SIM cards, but the sim card is merely a key that unlocks the connectivity services. The SIM cards we supply can be provisioned to enable or block different services from the Mobile Operator, or at the APN.

Connectivity service options include restricting operation to a particular geographical region such as a town, country, or group of countries. Eseye can enable SIM cards for single, or multiple mobile operators, allowing the connection to use another mobile network if the connection should be in an area of poor coverage.

The SIM cards Eseye delivers are manufactured by the worlds largest SIM card suppliers, meet all international specifications, and are approved by the Mobile Operators for high reliability in M2M applications.

As important as the connection is reliable accurate, predictable billing. Eseye’s online, real time data usage is the worlds leading system. Available through the SIM management portal, 24 hours a day, is real time usage information to the nearest byte. For peace of mind, multiple, pro-active usage alerts can be configured, to receive an e-mail as the monthly usage passes a threshold.

Through the APN, Eseye can provide a Real World Fixed IP address to be associated with a SIM card, allowing IP packets to be routable from the internet to a particular device. Alternatively, the APN supports Virtual Private Networks where Computers can connect to the APN across the internet, and with the appropriate credentials, appear on the same secure, private subnet as the SIM cards associated with the account.

Whilst it should be remembered that any wireless system relies on a series of links, and any of these has a probability of packet loss, Cellular connectivity from Eseye is as reliable as it is possible to make it.
