Embedded Modems
Where a new product is to be designed from scratch, or there is the opportunity to create bespoke hardware, an embedded modem module is a cost effective option.
Eseye’s engineers have experience in implementing circuits that use embedded modules from manufacturers including Enfora, Cinterion, Teltonika, Sagem and Telit. We are happy to discuss the benefits that each manufacturer can bring to a project.
For lower cost, it may be possible to select a dual band modem. In some applications where space is at a premium the budget may be sufficient for a smaller, but more expensive modem. If high peak data throughput is needed, a 3G modem may be required, at lower data rates 2G or EDGE may suffice.
Correctly designing the power circuits and the interface is vital for reliable operation, equally important is the software interfacing to the modem. For robust operation, the full range of possible communications scenarios must be catered for, and tested against. Eseye’s M2M+ platform includes library functions, and reference source code that have been fully tested.
Eseye can undertake all or part of the engineering required to get your wireless connected product from concept to market. Our specific expertise in M2M, telemetry and low power radio mean that we can design and build these products more reliably and less expensively than generic systems integrators.
