Global APN
The APN is the bridge between the mobile network and the internet, and every mobile operator offers an APN to their customers. APNs provided by mobile operators, however, are general-purpose and shared by all their customers. Generally the service is a consumer grade service.
Eseye’s provides a dedicated, private, enterprise class APN with interconnects to multiple mobile operators to give complete global coverage. For customers with volume deployments, we will even set up a separate APN solely for your use. The Global APN means that a device with connectivity from Eseye can connect through the APN in a uniform, consistent manner, whether it is on a local home network, or roaming onto a partner network.
By default, there are no restrictions on how the APN is used, but there are a whole host of configurable features that enable the delivery of high performance, tailored, solutions, such as:
- Closed network groups to prevent non-authorised IP addresses contacting the SIM
- Fixed IP
- End to end VPN connections
- Presentation of your estate of SIMs on a secure, private subnet within your domain
- Integration of other mobile connections to provide a standardised configuration world-wide
