LOW POWER CONNECTIVITY

The main driver behind the explosive growth in the cellular M2M market is the falling cost of connectivity. Both the cost of the modem hardware, and the cost of delivering data across the GSM networks have tumbled and will continue to do so in the coming years. As the costs of cellular connections falls, increasing numbers of products can take advantage of the technology.

Even with significant reductions in the power consumption of GSM modems, designing GSM into low power and battery powered devices is still a real challenge facing product designers today.

The team at Eseye have applied their background in low power wireless and product design to take a fresh look at this challenge, which has resulted in the creation of our M2M+ platform. Customers are able to use the platform to design products that take advantage of cellular connectivity whilst achieving multi-year battery life.
