ESEYE RECOGNISED IN GARTNER’S MAGIC QUADRANT FOR MANAGED MACHINE-TO-MACHINE SERVICES

Eseye is pleased to announce its entry on Gartner’s first Magic Quadrant for Managed Machine-to-Machine Services solutions which landscapes the global market its vendors and their relative positions across the four quadrants of leaders, challengers, visionaries and niche players.
M2M is a popular acronym which describes the underpinning communications technology for The Internet of Things and Big Data. While widely discussed and debated it is, however, difficult for customers to determine where to start in terms of selecting the right vendors to assess and understanding the strengths and weaknesses of each vendor. Especially when one considers the broad range of communication methods and protocols already in use for m2m including fixed, Wi-Fi, cellular, satellite and a number of other radio standards.
The magic quadrant is an independent assessment of the specific markets addressed and is not exclusive to Gartner customers – i.e. it is not a paid-for service and while applications are made, inclusion is not guaranteed. As a result, companies wishing to deploy a connected solution can use Gartner’s magic quadrant findings to educate themselves on the market and remove some of the risks associated with sourcing M2M products and services.
The market for M2M is vast and continuing to expand and even with its 400k+ devices under management at the time, Eseye is positioned as a “Niche” player in an M2M market.

Our focused approach means that Eseye’s global deployments whilst not as significant as that of our MNO partners, has seen successful deployments in 96 countries including some of the most challenging environments, all of which serve to validate the robustness of our solutions.
Our vertical market focus is essential to truly understanding customer requirements. This means that unlike other organisations, our emphasis is entirely on delivering robust, reliable and securely connected end-to-end M2M solutions within each of the verticals we serve. Connectivity that is contextual to the device itself.
Eseye’s data centre presence is based on customer needs and new datacentres are opened (such as that in New York, opened October 2014) as and when requirements exist. The speed of Eseye’s management portal is proportionate to the aggregation of connectivity data from hundreds of mobile networks which for any one multinational customer is more challenging than when data is only aggregated from one single mobile network such as is the case with many MNOs and SIM resellers. Our portal is continuously undergoing improvements based on live customer requirements and the imminent next release will see vast improvements in both speed and features available to our customers.
