One of Eseye’s UK toilets is twinned with a toilet near Eseye, Democratic Republic of Congo!
What is toilet twinning I hear you ask… It’s simple really! Toilet Twinning, a partnership between development agencies Cord and Tearfund, helps some of the 2.5 billion people worldwide who lack decent sanitation and what better day to talk about it than World Toilet Day. The campaign was launched by the United Nations Deputy Secretary-General Jan Eliasson, on behalf of the Secretary‐General in 2013 to break the silence. “With the tagline “wecantwait”, the Day is an opportunity to inspire action and underscore the urgency needed to end open defecation, especially for the women and girls who are particularly vulnerable. “
Eseye has a great number of connected customers with over one hundred thousand connected devices across the African continent and is a proud supporter of this initiative.
Our Customers and friends are welcome to come to ‘pay a visit’ in our office, and see the poster showing our twinned Toilet close to in a village called Eseye.
