OQ Technology, the world’s first global 5G NTN (Non-Terrestrial Network) satellite operator with headquarters in Luxembourg, and Eseye, a UK-based leading provider of global Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity solutions, have announced a strategic partnership to enable seamless and ubiquitous 5G IoT connectivity worldwide.
The collaboration brings together OQ Technology’s Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite constellation with Eseye’s AnyNet Connectivity Hub, creating a unified ecosystem that bridges terrestrial and satellite networks through a single SIM solution. This allows IoT devices to maintain continuous, reliable connectivity, even in the most remote and challenging environments where terrestrial networks are unavailable.
Leveraging the 3GPP Release 17 standard, this partnership extends multi-RAT (Radio Access Technology) connectivity to non-terrestrial networks (NTN), enabling IoT devices to automatically roam between cellular and satellite coverage. The result is a global, uninterrupted 5G IoT service for enterprises operating across land, sea, and air.
“Our partnership with Eseye marks another significant step toward OQ Technology’s vision of making 5G IoT fully global,” said Omar Qaise, Founder and CEO of OQ Technology. “By integrating our 5G-ready LEO satellite constellation with Eseye’s intelligent connectivity platform, we enable seamless coverage everywhere on the planet, from remote deserts and offshore platforms to polar regions. This collaboration delivers the reliability and scalability industries need to unlock the full potential of IoT.”
OQ Technology’s LEO satellites operate in S-band spectrum and deliver low-latency, high-reliability connectivity designed specifically for IoT and machine-to-machine (M2M) applications. This satellite layer complements Eseye’s extensive terrestrial network partnerships, ensuring consistent, always-on data transmission across both infrastructures.
Adam Hayes, COO at Eseye commented “Our collaboration with OQ Technology is all about delivering value to customers. By combining satellite and terrestrial connectivity, we’re removing the complexity and limitations of global IoT deployments. This partnership ensures businesses can stay connected anywhere, unlocking new opportunities and accelerating innovation for our customers worldwide.”
“This collaboration opens new opportunities for industries such as maritime, logistics, energy, mining, agriculture, and environmental monitoring, which depend on uninterrupted data flows for safety, efficiency, and sustainability,” Hayes added.
Omar Qaise added: “Together, OQ Technology and Eseye are redefining what it means to be connected — enabling a seamless, resilient, and global IoT ecosystem that supports innovation and growth without geographic limits.”
About OQ Technology
OQ Technology is a Luxembourg-based satellite operator pioneering 5G Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) connectivity through its direct-to-device (D2D) global satellite network. The company is the first in Europe to operate a LEO constellation dedicated to D2D services, using its 60 MHz of MSS S-band spectrum rights to deliver secure, seamless, and standards-based connectivity to unmodified smartphones and IoT devices.
OQ Technology bridges the gap between terrestrial and space-based mobile networks, enabling real-time, 3GPP-compliant 5G NTN communications for governments, enterprises, and consumers worldwide.
